Reasonable adjustments in acute hospital settings
Welcome to the GMAC pages on Reasonable Adjustments in acute hospital settings for autistic people.
These pages have been created by the Greater Manchester Autism and Learning Disability Reasonable Adjustments in Acute settings group, which has been running since May 2019 when the Making Greater Manchester autism friendly strategy and Greater Manchester learning disability strategy were launched.
The group members include, people with lived experience (autistic adults and family members), staff from health and social care and staff from the voluntary sector. Since this time, we have faced the biggest ever health emergency due the Covid-19 pandemic and it has felt like understanding how to support autistic people to get the reasonable adjustments has never been more urgent.
