The term Intersectionality refers to the ways in which multiple aspects of people’s identities (in particular those related to the protected characteristics go to view discrimination - your rights for more information) may overlap and increase in discrimination and disadvantage. In Greater Manchester, we have made a commitment to consider how these intersectional issues may increase barriers to support in order to try and address this inequality.
